HEALING THE HIDDEN WOUNDS
Uncover the scars of the past and walk into freedom and restoration
The wounds of the past often shape our lives in ways that aren’t always visible. This talk focuses on how God heals the emotional and spiritual scars we carry—whether rejection, abuse, betrayal, or loss. Drawing from Lise Bourbeau’s explanation of the five core wounds and combining it with biblical examples and my own story, I show that full restoration is possible, and that forgiveness opens the door to lasting freedom.
Application: To help participants move from inspiration to action, they will receive a One-Page Reflection Guide designed to personalize the journey of healing. This resource includes:
Identifying Wounds: reflection prompts to recognize their own emotional wounds and the “masks” they may use to cope.
Exploring Impact: guided exercises to understand how past experiences have shaped their behaviors and relationships.
Healing Practices: therapeutic letter-writing, guided introspection, and a devotional activity to begin restoring the inner child.
This tool gives participants a concrete method they can revisit whenever they feel triggered, transforming awareness into daily steps toward freedom and lasting transformation.
Scriptural Anchors: The message is grounded in God’s promises of healing and renewal:
Isaiah 61:1 – “He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners.”
Psalm 147:3 – “He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.”
2 Corinthians 5:17 – “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!”
These passages remind us that while human wounds run deep, God’s love penetrates deeper—bringing restoration, wholeness, and lasting peace.
